Use Google as a timer or stopwatch

Book recommendation

Talk Under Water by Kathryn Lomer

Will Lane never expected to make friends with some random girl on the internet.
Summer Rainbird never expected some random guy from the internet to turn up on her door step.
Both Will and Summer are missing a parent and needing a friend. But when they meet in real life, will they even be able to talk to each other, let alone be friends?

Isn't anyone why they say they are anymore?

Deciding who to trust

Now in the Cinema - Jasper Jones

Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey

Late on a hot summer night in 1965, Charlie Bucktin, a precocious and bookish boy of thirteen, is startled by an urgent knock on the window of his sleep-out. His visitor is Jasper Jones, an outcast in the regional mining town of Corrigan.

Rebellious, mixed-race and solitary, Jasper is a distant figure of danger and intrigue for Charlie. So when Jasper begs for his help, Charlie eagerly steals into the night by his side, terribly afraid but desperate to impress. Jasper takes him to his secret glade in the bush, and it's here that Charlie bears witness to Jasper's horrible discovery.
With his secret like a brick in his belly, Charlie is pushed and pulled by a town closing in on itself in fear and suspicion as he locks horns with his tempestuous mother; falls nervously in love and battles to keep a lid on his zealous best friend, Jeffrey Lu.

And in vainly attempting to restore the parts that have been shaken loose, Charlie learns to discern the truth from the myth, and why white lies creep like a curse.
In the simmering summer where everything changes, Charlie learns why the truth of things is so hard to know, and even harder to hold in his heart. (Goodreads.com)

Now in the Cinema - Before I Fall

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Sam Kingston is dead.
Except she isn't.

On a rainy February night, eighteen-year-old Sam is killed in a horrific car crash. But then the imposible happens: she wakes up in her own bed, on the morning of the day she died.

Forced to live over and over the last day of her life - the drive to school, skipping class, the fateful party - she desperately struggles to alter the outcome, but every morning she wakes up on the day of the crash.

This is the story of a girl who dies young, but in the process learns how to live.

And who falls in love... a little too late.
